Lovely Striped Skunk

In the lingering spirit of Valentine’s Day and with our animal of the week, we’re going to make a striped skunk using hearts. Let’s get started with supplies.

Step 1:

You’re going to take the black piece of paper and cut out a pretty big-sized heart. This will be the face of your skunk.

Step 2:

Take the leftover black paper to cut out the ears and tail. I used my pencil to draw the shape of both the ears and the tail. I used the heart to make the ears proportional but I didn’t do the same thing with the tail. So my tail turned out a bit bigger than my skunk’s face but that’s okay!

Step 3:

Then take the white piece of paper and cut out the markings. You will make a marking for the tail and the face. I traced both the heart and tail so I could make sure the markings matched up. Then glue them together.

Step 4:

Next, you will take the pink piece of paper and you will cut three hearts out of it. Two will be for the ears and one will be the nose. I put the paper on the face of my skunk to get an estimation of how big it needed to be. I also traced the ears so I knew how big to make the hearts for the ears. Then glue the hearts on the ears and the nose to the face.

Step 5:

Lastly, you’ll glue the ears and tail to the heart and add the googly eyes. Now you have your very own striped skunk.
