Quick and Fun Badger Craft

When looking on Pinterest to find a craft for badgers, there wasn’t a very wide selection but the one I did find, is very cute. It has the coloring for the European badger instead of the American badger but it’s possible to switch it up. I left it as the European badger coloring to show how to make it but feel free to color your badger any way you like!

Supplies:

  • A piece of paper. I chose white but you can use black or tan or gray as well.
  • Scissors
  • A glue stick (not pictured)
  • A pencil to trace with
  • Googly eyes
  • A marker of your choosing

Step 1:

Trace your hand on the paper using a pencil or marker. Then cut it out.

Step 2:

You’re going to draw the face. I’m not good at just cutting shapes out so I drew it first.

Step 3:

Cut it out, put the googly eyes on, and then I drew a little face so I would know where to color. Next, glue it onto your hand cutout. I decided my fingers were too long so I cut them down a bit so the head seemed more proportional. If you feel the same way, go ahead and adjust your hand however you would like.

Step 4:

Color your badger in. For mine, I left a little bit of his face white and the tip of his tail white. It’s more of a European badger look but feel free to make yours look like the American badger who is native to Iowa.

In hindsight, I should have made my badger look more like the American badgers found here but I was too caught up in the craft. Plus, crafts are made to be individualized which makes them fun. Plus, no matter how you make this badger, it’s going to be very cute. If you make it, color it however you want and show us! We would love to see your versions of the badger!
